Find out more about our Script Supervising class by attending a free session to
learn the instructor's teaching style, observe the quality and enthusiasm of the
students, and to receive some hand-outs on the school and its programs.
Currently the lectures are conducted on Wed., Thurs., and Sat. afternoons. It is
okay to bring others with you, there is no charge. Because some sessions on
Saturdays are preempted from time to time by special weekend seminars, call the
school to reserve your free monitoring seat(s).
This course is ongoing and there is no start date. Training is composed of a series
of lecture sessions with no distinct start point. Because most people are
occasionally bogged down with what we refer to as the "Wandering Generalities of
Life" such as weddings, funerals, car repair, medical inspections, birthday events,
jobs, trips to Las Vegas, etc., sessions may be missed and no excuse is
necessary. Since there is no order of attending the lectures, sessions can be
missed and then attended at a later time. This style of teaching permits its students
to work on pictures for a duration of weeks or months and to then continue the
course afterwards.
Once all of the lecture sessions are completed, each student then enters On-The
Job Training while working as a Script Supervisor on productions. During this
stage, each student is individually tutored until professional.
Students may subscribe to training one day a week which normally takes about six
months for the lectures plus On-The-Job Training afterwards. Students wanting to
finish more swiftly may enroll in the Accelerated Program which can be attended
two or three days a week, permitting a two or three month lecture series. NOW is
the perfect time to start.
